# Connect Claude or ChatGPT to Your Real Garden in TuinPlan (MCP)

With the **TuinPlan MCP Assistant Connector**, you can brainstorm with Claude or ChatGPT as a garden planning co-pilot alongside the TuinPlan mobile app, while your cadastral plot geometry, sun/shade engine, and product catalog remain protected inside TuinPlan.

## What can your connected AI assistant do?

1. **Conversational Garden Intake:** Talk through household use, what stays, and your desired garden style in natural conversation.
2. **Instant Compatibility Check on Your Real Garden:** Your assistant checks your ideas against your plot's area sizes, sun/shade exposure, and TuinPlan catalog availability over MCP.
3. **Stage Directly Into the TuinPlan App:** Your assistant stages the completed brief and area proposals into the TuinPlan app so you can review them and generate a **Vision Card** or **Garden Spec**.

## How does it work in Demo Mode vs. for Subscribers?

- **In Demo mode:** Connect your AI assistant, complete the garden intake, and get TuinPlan's full spatial, sun/shade, and catalog compatibility verdict on your real garden. Your staged plan is held ready in TuinPlan.
- **For Subscribers:** An active TuinPlan subscription unlocks one-tap application of your staged assistant plan into your live garden and the large-screen spatial editor. Your assistant can even open the subscription popup directly in your TuinPlan app.

## Connect in 3 steps

1. Add the TuinPlan MCP server in Claude or ChatGPT: `https://api.tuinplan.nl/mcp`.
2. Your assistant will display a 6-character pairing code (for example `TP-4K9M2X`).
3. Open the **TuinPlan mobile app -> Settings -> AI Assistant (MCP)**, enter the pairing code, and accept the [Agentic Terms of Use](/en/agent-terms).
